We are a organization for Manufacturing & Education to Network and fund raise for Education of our children
In 2011 SME Chicagoland was recognized by our Parent for accomplishing the most Outstanding Partner Award for our efforts to help local high schools, colleges, and elementary schools in the nine (9) county arera that surrounds the Chicago Metropolitan area.
SME Chicagoland works with PRIME Schools and schools that reach out and ask for our help in areas of curriculum, making capital investment recommendations, and helping instructors obtain experience on the plant floor in manufacturing.
We also have members speak to classrooms about their future and also work with students to help them select an industry when they graduate.
